Vodafone will supply telecoms management to Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL for the next five years, through its Vodafone Global Enterprise division. The business unit’s mobile voice and data solution will be deployed in 15 countries in Asia Pacific.
NSN claims to have broken the mobile data speed barrier, by achieving a peak throughput of 42Mbps using HSPA+ technology run over a 3G network, during a demonstration run in conjunction with Deutsche Telekom at the CeBIT show yesterday.
Google has launched Buzzie, the iPhone app supporting the Google Buzz social networking tool, on the iTunes app store. The app provides a stripped-down version of Buzz's functionality until the user logs into the service.
Kansas capital city Topeka has temporarily changed its name to Google to mark the company's 1Gbps trial in the area.
Bouygues Telecom has announced that its net profit shrank 12% to €1.3 billion in 2009, while revenue dipped 3% to €31.4 billion.
