Motorola’s Solutions division will supply ruggedized TETRA terminals to 1,500 firemen in Southern Denmark. Deliveries will begin early next year.

Web-TV has changed consumer’s viewing habits, with around 70% already viewing streamed, downloaded or recorded broadcast programs each week, research by Ericsson shows. The study also found that 50% of viewers access Web-based on-demand content at least once a week.

The Wireless Power Consortium, backed by Nokia, Samsung, Intel, Duracell and others, will launch its first products by the end of the year. The group has developed a wireless, interoperable, recharging technology called Qi.

AT&T has launched VoIP services for its VPN customers over its global network.
