MVNO subscriptions in Latin America will grow at a CAGR of 28% to 6.6 million by 2013, due to favorable regulatory environments and a slowdown in subscriber growth among mainstream carriers, research firm Informa Telecoms & Media predicts.

The GSMA has exhausted its Mobile Money for the Unbanked fund after awarding grants to seven new firms, bringing the total number of projects funded by the scheme to 19. The association expects 170 million customers to have access to mobile money schemes by end 2011.

Almost 60% of European multinationals have limited, or no, provision for mobile working due to concerns over pricing and the impact on corporate culture, a survey of 500 firms by Vodafone Global Enterprise found. However, 70% of the companies said workers wanted flexible working options.
