Belgian telco Mobistar has upped its forecasts for 2010, after growing profits and revenues in the first half of the year.
The France Telecom-owned telco expects full-year revenues in the range of €225-245 million - up from the €210-230 million it previously forecast - and predicts revenues will grow 5% over 2009 instead of remaining flat.
It revised the figures after growing profits 3% to €132.4 million in 1H10, and revenues by 7.5% €818.8 million.
First-half results were boosted by subscriber gains in mobile and fixed operations and a positive contribution from KPN Belgium, which the firm began consolidating into its results from April.
The number of active mobile users grew 1.1% to 3.9 million by end-June, while fixed-line customers were up 19.5% at 164,981.
Some 93,282 customers accessed mobile internet services, and ADSL subscribers hit 45,113 – up 54.3% on 1H09.
